Three-dimensional and action-packed RPG for personal computers

Stonekeep is an iconic role-playing game which can be traced back to the halcyon days of virtual reality. Originally released in 1995, this platform has now become a classic in terms of its three-dimensional layout, the strategies involved during gameplay and the mysteries that await the player. Magic, aliens and dangers are present and only the strongest will survive.

Plot and Gameplay

It is first worth mentioning that Stonekeep was created by Christopher Taylor. This is the very same designer associated with the newer Fallout series. The main purpose of this game is for the player to reclaim his or her soul. However, there are numerous challenges which must first be overcome. These including fighting with zombies, navigating through treacherous terrain, learning complex magical spells and even freeing a friendly dragon from captivity. The immersive three-dimensional environment associated with this game will add an extra sense of realism to the overall experience.

Additional Features

Fans of classic games will be pleased to learn that Stonekeep has not been modified since its release in 1995. This retro appeal is certainly not to be overlooked. However, the challenges are just as formidable as modern systems and most consider this game to be one of the best in the industry.

PROS

  • Fans of retro gaming will enjoy the classic feel of Stonekeep
  • The outcome of this game will be based off of the decisions of the player

CONS

  • Some could observe that the graphics are rather simplistic
  • There is no free version of this game available
